Igniter Media does it again.  Intro: Igniter(backs)4       Unlike movie sequels that tend to be less impressive than the original (see Indiana Jones), Igniter comes through with another amazing set of backgrounds, motion loops, countdowns, and stills.  If you are looking for that perfect new look for the Fall, yes I said Fall, and yes, I know that it’s July, check this out.

It’s time to start planning for your Father’s Day media presentations.

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 9:47 am by charlesshyblosky

A buddy of mine, Richard Gaspard, of Crossroads Creative, has some really cool father’s day videos, that you can check out, HERE!

Also:  Here are some things you could get from his site:  A

30 sec. “Happy Fathers” Day piece, and a Sermon Opener titled “The US Male.” Both would fit perfectly for Father’s Day. He is actually the actor in The US Male. He dressed up as a postman, dancing around a neighborhood to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”  You’ll have to see it, to believe it…:)

The Father’s Day piece is part of their Billboards line and the US Male is part of their On Ramps line.
Plus, if any of YOU go to the site, He’ll give you a 30% off coupon. All you have to do is enter this password:

MMMATTERS   when you checkout. This is good for anything in the store, any time they want it, not just Father’s Day!

Be sure and check out Richard’s Blog HERE!  (leave him a message and tell him THANKS)  and he also happens to work at this amazing church, Check it out HERE!

Back from Vacation, er, hiking in the GSMNP….

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 9:40 am by charlesshyblosky

  • Hawaii trip postponed due to Aloha, ATA going belly up, thanks guys, great week to cancel my flights.  Bankruptcy sucks..
  • So, i still wanted to get out somewhere, so I chose the most remote location in the  Eastern US, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Appalachian Trail.  Jon and I tackled a 24 mile section from Clingman’s Dome to Cades Cove.  Not necessarily a relaxing vacation, but breathtaking views, scenic vistas, and unforgettable memories.
  • We got to see lots of Thru-Hikers on their way to Maine.  At the pace they were headed, they could reach Katahdin by October.  5 stone, andTee the Colonol stuck out to me, a gulf war vet doing something he’d always wanted to do, also a father and son that knock out 70 miles or so every spring break.  Due to so much rain, no one was spared from huge blisters, and many were considering their options.  Check them out on trail  journals, so this could be fun to track their journey.
  • Highlight of the trip:  Summitting Rocky Top.   For those not familiar with the song, click HERE!
  • I’m glad to be back, lots of neat things coming down the path of life.
  • Sure was nice, after living a life completely Media-driven, and plugged in, to just unplug for a week.  wow…

Easter is over, bring on Mothers Day

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 3:31 pm by charlesshyblosky

  • springbreaklogo.jpgIts that time of year, most churches are still recovering from a crazy Easter Week, with services on Wed, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Tenabrae, Easter Egg Hunt Saturday and Easter Sunday, this is a crazy week.  See what some crazy churches did, HERE!
  • And then comes Monday, and for the sake of my buds in ministry, there IS such a thing as a Holy Hangover.  Most don’t make it back in to the office till Tuesday.
  • And then We Welcome Spring Break, usually a shut down time for lots of churches.  I find this interesting, coming off of a “ramp up” period, and then a time of rest, well earned might I add.
  • Here’s my question:  In A Techie, A/V, Media persons world, how do you feel you did last week?  (1-10 scale) leave me a comment.
  • How do you plan on Maximizing your “Down Time”, if any, for Spring Break?
  • Last Question:  When do you turn the page, and start planning “the next BIG thing”?  Whats it for: Mother’s Day?  Memorial Day?  Earth Day? lol!  Hit me up!

What I’m checking out this week.

From From  Church Multimedia.  Software For $399, this program boasts the ability to toggle different things on each of your different projectors.  This  could be a very cost effective way for your church to do triple screen, all being separate.  Let me know if you’ve tried this.  They suggest you can easily insert your favorite presentation software to view within this program.  Let me know if you’ve used this, and how it works?

Thoughts on Politics, Media coverage, Rush’s revolt

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 12:17 pm by charlesshyblosky

  • rush-limbaugh.jpgToday’s focus turns to Texas and Ohio for the big vote:  Can Hillary stay in the race?
  • Barack Hussein Obama outspent her in those two states 5-1, can she still compete? It appears that Texas is the “all or nothing” state.  Other countries are calling our election process a joke.  Is it really about the money?
  • The Media has written off Huckabee, the guy seems to me to have the most Reagan-esque qualities.  During the debates, he averaged 7 minutes of speaking to McCain’s 22 minutes.   How can they get away with this?
  • Ann Coulter will support Hillary?  Watch her HERE!
  • Rush Limbaugh has called for all “Ditto-heads”, er, Republicans, to vote for Hillary to throw the DP into a political mess.  Watch it HERE!!   Can this strategy work?  I can’t wait to find out tonight.

What do you “Crave” for the New Year?

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , at 3:42 pm by charlesshyblosky

Crave:  Destiny, Meaning, Intimacy.  These are the titles of each video in a new short film series that corresponds to themes in Erwin Raphael McManus‘ best-selling new book, Soul Cravings, uses the visual storytelling medium of film to reveal the hidden mysteries that permeate the soul. Each film features an intro from McManus and a short message on the theme of the film.  Check it out today, I’m using this for a Small Group Bible Study.
